Bleeding after a baby tooth falls out

How do I stop bleeding after my child’s baby tooth falls out? Children often start losing teeth around the age of six. Usually, the two bottom teeth will fall out first since teeth tend to fall out in the order they came in.

1. Fold a clean piece of gauze and place it (tightly) over the bleeding area.

2. Have your child bite down on the gauze for 15 minutes.

3. Instruct your child not to brush too hard where the tooth fell out.

*if bleeding continues, see a pediatric dentist.
